Awalio Golf ("Awalio", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Awalio Golf mobile application and related services, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

When you create and use an Awalio account, we may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Your name or Driver ID

  • Email address

  • Profile photograph

  • Gender

  • Country

  • Golf handicap

  • Home golf course

  • Golf preferences and profile information

  • Account and authentication information

We also collect information generated through your use of Awalio, including:

  • Golf rounds, scores and scoring information

  • Courses and tees played

  • Round dates and related golf statistics

  • Buddy relationships and groups

  • Round invitations and participation

  • Clubhouse posts, comments, reactions and other user-generated content

  • Messages sent through Awalio

  • Hole-in-one and other golf-related activity

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to provide and operate Awalio's features. This includes maintaining your account, calculating golf scores and statistics, managing rounds, enabling social and messaging features, displaying relevant leaderboards and Clubhouse content, sending notifications, and improving the reliability and functionality of the service.

Some information you choose to provide may be visible to other Awalio users where this is necessary for social features, Buddy Rounds, leaderboards, messaging or the Clubhouse.

Data Storage and Processing

Awalio uses third-party technology providers, including Google Firebase, to provide services such as authentication, cloud database storage, file storage and server-side functionality.

Information transmitted between the Awalio app and its online services is protected using encrypted network connections where supported by those services.

Awalio may also use third-party services to provide course information and other functionality. These providers may process information necessary to fulfil requests made through the app.

Profile Photos and User-Generated Content

If you upload a profile photograph or create content within Awalio, that information may be stored on our cloud services and displayed to other users where appropriate to the feature being used.

Content that you choose to share through social features may be visible to your buddies, other participants in a round, or other Awalio users depending on the feature and its visibility settings.

Messages

Awalio allows users to communicate with other users. Messages and associated information are processed and stored as necessary to provide the messaging service.

Users should not use Awalio to share sensitive personal information that they do not wish others to receive.

Notifications

If you permit notifications, Awalio may send push notifications relating to messages, Buddy activity, round invitations, Clubhouse activity, golf achievements and other relevant app activity.

You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

Location

Awalio may use course, country or other location-related information where necessary to provide golf-related functionality. Awalio does not use the app to publicly broadcast a user's live precise physical location to other users.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf where necessary to operate Awalio. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or integrity of Awalio, its users or others.

Information that you intentionally share through Awalio's social features may be visible to other users as described within the app.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Awalio, maintain legitimate service records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the security of the service.

Some information may remain in backups for a limited period after it is deleted from active systems.

Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Awalio account and associated personal information.

Where account deletion functionality is available within the app, users can use that facility. Alternatively, users may contact us using the contact details below.

Certain information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or legitimate record-keeping purposes.

Children

Awalio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 contrary to this policy, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

However, no online service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
